Day 3

First school day! We met as a group for the first time and went to the Academy of Fine Arts addition designed by Coop Himmelblau.  Our assignment was to analyze the addition in comparison to the existing Neo-Classical style building and the surrounding neighborhoods. This is a photo of both buildings.

Day 1 / 2 (It's one long day to me) - Munich

I surprisingly couldn't sleep a wink on the plane. Usually I have no trouble but I guess I was a little anxious.

Got to the airport fine, got on the train fine, our group went from 6 to 4 when we got off the train because 2 weren't quick enough to get off the train fast enough.... luckily we found them at the hostel.

We wandered around Munich for a bit this morning but now we are checking in and ready for a nap.

The adventure starts on Monday(if Irene allows it) -- 73 days of travel with 35 architecture students in 24 European cities with the objective to learn about and experience some of the world's greatest and most influential pieces of architecture.

It's a bittersweet feeling as I approach the departure but as the jump rope world knows "It's not goodbye, it's see ya later."

I am going to try my absolute hardest to update this blog every night even if it's only a single photo or word.  That's it for now... I just figured I should start this before I leave. Enjoy!
